Dear Resident,
A man who ignored warnings about his anti-social behaviour has been fined after being drunk and urinating in March town centre.
Ricky Noonan, 58, was issued a Community Protection Notice by Fenland District Council but breached this on 22 September by being so intoxicated in the town centre that he was hardly able to stand.
He admitted theft from a shop, outraging public decency and breaching a Community Protection Notice.
Yesterday (1 December) at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court he was fined £160 and ordered to pay £10 compensation.
The Community Protection Notice issued to Noonan remains in place following this sentence given out by the courts.
Stipulations include not to urinate in the open air, not to be drunk or act anti-socially in March town centre, not to obstruct local businesses, not to be verbally aggressive or threatening and to comply with reasonable requests of a police or council officer.
We will continue to work closely with the council concerning anti-social behaviour and any breaches of this notice will be dealt with.
Kind regards,
Tim Goddard Communications officer |
